The snow outside was meters deep..The fog was as dense as it could be...The whole world was sound asleep, except the young boy whose outline was making its way through the knee-deep snow..struggling..trying hard to move forward!!!As the fog cleared a little..the outline became more clear..the boy was somewhere between the age of 15-18yrs..and he was crying..sobbing like an infant..his eyes were all red and tear trails were distinctly visible...He drew his jacket upon his cold torso..and wrapped his own arms around his body..the longing for companionship, love, friends could be seen in his welled up eyes...the only companions he had were the birds..chirping wildly..flying from one place to another..not even looking at the child even once..busy in their own world...this made the boy cry even harder..it reminded him of his aimless life...his lonely aimless life!!
What was he doing with his life???...Where were his so called friends??..His family???..Now the dogs were awake...and their howling made his life a bit more living!!..He felt a little warmth from their cold howls!!...And a sudden gust of cold wind..blew through his soul....he felt the chill more than ever...but this time he felt better...he wiped his tears with his sleeves and looked back to the house four miles behind him!!...The chimney had started blowing hot smoke into the open sky...and then the cogs in his mind started moving again..what was the boy doing running away from the people he loved...so what if they are not warm always..but they are his family...his friends...his life...how can he leave his life behind??....his cold friends are still warmer than the cold life without them....How can he leave his love behind??....What would she feel when she finds him no more in her life??...He ran back towards the smoky chimney...what had got into his mind??...how could he have thought of leaving his world behind??..somehow the run back home was way too warmer though the constant cold winds had made the surroundings lot more colder...his life was not aimless....everyone has a purpose in this globe...and he was not the type who would run away from his responsibilities...He ran back to the main door...gave the knob a gentle turn...tiptoed up the stairs..changed his wet clothes...and hopped into his warm bed...and all the warm feelings were back in his heart...his heart pumped soothingly warm blood into his body...and he was sound asleep like everyone else...back in his world..his life....but now he had found himself...he knew who he was...

Good imagery.
But a tad surprising. A boy in his mid to late teens 'finds' himself... As in, self discovery... Intriguing...
Peace.
Hey Kartz...
I don't know who would correct my countless errors if it wasn't for you!!
Thanks again...
P.S.I am trying to use less no. of words for the reply...so that you don't find any embarrassing error in the reply!!:P :D
Peace....
